Welcome! I’m Melissa Maxwell, a dedicated nursing professional with over 15 years of experience in Nursing. I am also a wife and a mother to three busy children, which adds to my understanding of balance and resilience in both personal and professional life. My journey began in inpatient med/surg, progressive care, and critical care nursing, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience that shaped my approach to patient care and professional development.
For the past nine years, I have found my true passion in nursing education. As a Nurse Residency Coordinator at a large hospital system, I have the privilege of supporting new nurses as they transition into their professional roles. I understand the challenges they face and am committed to providing them with the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
Beyond my work in residency programs, I also serve as an adjunct faculty educator, helping to shape the next generation of nurses in academic settings. Additionally, as a residency accreditation appraiser team member, I contribute to upholding high standards in nurse residency programs.
My mission is to empower and support nurses at all career stages, ensuring they have the knowledge, confidence, and skills to succeed. Whether you are a new graduate, an experienced nurse seeking growth, or an educator dedicated to professional development, I am here to help you navigate your journey with confidence and purpose.
